Research Notes
A search of the below referenced volume returned only the mention of an Elizabeth Sempill married to Mathew Biggart in Maynes of cruikistoun and three women named Isobel married to Robert Simpson, William Marschall, and Gavin Sempill, respectively.[3]
"The following information is also recorded for Isabella. Marriage in Maynes Cruikistoun, Ayr, Scotland; Marriage in Ayr, Lanark, & Stirling: - The Commissariot Record of Glasgow Register of Testamenis, 1547-1800."
So, far, no reliable source has been able to link Isobel Sempill, wife of Hugh Hunter to Elizabeth Sempill, daughter of Robert, 7th Lord Sempill[2] although there is slight DNA evidence to show some relationship to Sempill descendants but there is no yDNA or mtDNA evidence and the autosomal matches are distant, not triangulated, and are for a endogamous population.

Besides the unreliable Geni, is there any documented evidence that "Isabella Elizabeth" was the daughter of the 7th Lord Sempill and Anne Douglas? The two given names seems unusual and I can't see any "evidence" other than individual trees.
Semple-178 and Semple-302 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents. Same siblings. Same death date. Same husband. Clearly the same person.
