Emma Alice Cotton was born on 28 February 1891 in Alabama, United States, She was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Cotton and Dixie Annah Wilkes (1866 - 1953).
Emma married Albert Dee Cotton on 14 December 1907 in Coffee County, Alabama.[1] They were the parents of at least 9 children.
Emma A. Cotton, her husband Albert, and their son Clarence F. were enumerated on the 1910 United States Census. They were living in Centerville, Coffee County, Alabama.[2]
When the United States Census was taken in 1920, Emma and Albert Cotton were living in Rocky Head, Dale County, Alabama with their 4 children.[3]
The Cotton family moved back to Centerville and were enumerated there on the 1930 United States Census. Six children were listed in the household, 3 of whom had been born since 1920.[4]
Emma Alice (Cotton) Cotton died on 08 October 1939 at the age of 48. She was buried in Old Tabernacle Cemetery, New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama.[5]
