Biography

Edwin F. Heesler the second husband of my grandmother. There exist a question of the last name being Hessler or Heesler as denoted on his and my grandmothers headstones. Her death Certificate list her name as Hessler. He also listed his name as Hessler on his WWI Draft Registration card.

With further research I found a record of his family in Ancestry.com in the 1880 Census for Decherd, Franklin County, Tennessee on page 086 for Franklin County. This confirmed the family name Hessler instead of Heesler as listed on his grave stone which was installed after my grandmother's death in 1955. The name difference was due to inaccurate information to the marker company when both stones, his and my grandmother's, were made.
