Biography

Baptist May was probably the youngest son of Humphrey May and his wife Judith Pooley. [1] Sources [2] have called him the brother of Algernon May, who was baptised in 1627. His History of Parliament entry [3] lists his birth as 1628 and suggests he may have had an illegitimate son Charles.
