George Thompson was born abt 1837. He was married to May A. Thompson who received a Widow's Pension.
He enrolled on 21 Nov. 12, 1861, in Goshen, Indiana. He served in the 2nd Indiana Cavalry Regiment, Company M. He was captured in Varnell's Station, Georgia on May 9, 1864. He was incarcerated in Andersonville Prison where he died of scurvy on 6/30/1864. He is buried in grave 2693.
