John was born August 1, 1902 at Charles Street in Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland. He was the son of Patrick O'Hara and Mary Anne Donnelly. His father was a tailor and his maternal grandmother Kate Donnelly was present at his birth.[1][2]
He was an officer in the British Corps of Royal Engineers.
His marriage to Mary Josephine Kirwan was registered in the 2nd Quarter 1929 in Dublin South, Ireland.[3][4]
John Charles Gerrard O'Hara died at the age of 86 in 1988 in Berkshire, England.[5]
