Biography

Herman (Meleka) Mix was born in July 1855 in the German Empire. He married Caroline Albrecht in about 1876, also of the German Empire. They immigrated to the United States in about 1881.

In 1900, Herman and his wife and children, and parents (Ludwig and Hannah Meleka), lived in New Hudson, Allegany, New York. ^{[1] [2] [3]} In 1915, he and his wife lived in Cuba, Allegany, New York. ^[4]

In 1930, Herman, a widower, lived with his daughter, Anna and son-in-law, Guy King, in Hinsdale, Cattaraugus, New York. ^[5]

Herman died on July 2, 1932 in Hinsdale, Cattaraugus, New York and was buried in Bellville Cemetery, Bellville, Allegany, New York. ^{[6] [7]}
