Griswold Comstock Phelps was born 20 April 1792 at Granby, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA, died 1 Sept 1845 at Steuben County, Indiana, son of Levi Phelps; married Rhoda Squier, b. 4 Nov 1791 at Nicholson, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, died 1858 at Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey, daughter of Stephen Squier (abt. 1765-1853) and Margaret (Megie, aka Magee) Squier (abt. 1768-abt. 1810); buried at Powers Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana, USA.^[1]
