Biography

The son of Charles Hess Boone (1856-1928) and Nancy Delilah Medlin (1865-1940), Miller Boone was born in Gibson County, Tennessee[citation needed] in 1890, residing there with his family.[1] His siblings included:

  4. Morris Boone (1897-1927)
  5. Eva H. Boone (1899-)
  6. Harry Boone (1903-)

  8. Ralph Boone (1908-)

Miller married Beulah (Hunt) Boone, marrying in Gibson County, Tennessee on December 20, 1911[2] and having five children together. Miller registered for the World War I draft when he was 25, registering in Gibson County, Tennessee on June 5, 1917.[3] He stated that he lived with his wife and three children in Trenton, Tennessee and that he worked for George Hunt, Beulah's father, as a farm laborer. Miller was described as a tall man, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes. He did not enlist.

In 1920, Miller lived with his wife and children in Trenton.[4] Miller and Beulah divorced before 1930 and he remarried, marrying Nora Griffin (1912-).

Miller registered for the World War II draft when he was 53, registering in Hardy, Arkansas on April 27, 1942.[5] He stated that he lived with his wife in Williford, Arkansas and that he worked for himself, farming. Miller was described as 5'7" tall and 147 pounds. Enlisting in the "Old Man's Draft," Miller did not enlist. In 1950, Miller lived with Nora in South Union Township, Arkansas, working as a timber cutter.[6] That year, his household included his father-in-law, Frank Griffin.

Miller Boone passed away at the age of 78, residing last in Ravenden, Arkansas.[7][8] He is buried at Bradford Cemetery in Ozark Acres, Arkansas.[9]
