Mairghréag (Margaret) O'Carroll (Ní Chearbhaill was born before 1407, the daughter of Tadhg O'Carroll (abt. 1340 - 1407), King of Ely. Her mother was probably Mór, daughter of Brian Sreamach O'Brien. [1]

She was betrothed, possibly from birth to An Calbach O'Connor Faly who succeeded his brother Diarmaid in 1425 / 26 as King of Ui Failghe [1]
1445 With several other Gaelic Irish and Anglo-Irish nobles, she went on a Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
She died in 1451 from that sore in her breast, and was buried at the Franciscan friary of Killeigh. [1][2]
↑Annals of the Four Masters - CELT M1451.3 Margaret, daughter of O'Carroll (Teige), and wife of O'Conor Faly (Calbhach), the best woman in her time in Ireland, for it was she who had given two invitations of hospitality in the one year to those who sought for rewards, died, after the victory of Unction and Penance, triumphant over the world and the Devil; and Felim O'Conor, son of Calvagh by this Margaret, and heir to the lordship of Offaly, a man of great fame and renown, died, having been for a long time ill of a decline. Only one night intervened between the deaths of both.
