Margaret Humble was born on 24 February 1861 in Chester, England. She was the daughter of W Humble and Harriett G Proudfoot.^[1]

Mrs Margaret Close married Christian Frederic Gordon, son of Col. George Grant Gordon, on 29 August 1894 in Dundee, Scotland.^[3]

The widow of --- Close (unknown first name), divorcee of Eric Gordon, and lastly widow of Granville Gordon, she died on 17 May 1920 at 44 rue Chauveau in Neuilly-sur-Seine. At the time of death her home was in Lanvally near Dinan (Côtes-d'Armor).
