Biography
Michael was born about 1842. He was the son of Francis Brew and Mary Casey.
When 12yrs he arrived in Victoria aboard the Prince Alfred with her parents and siblings. [1] The family left Plymouth, England 17 November 1853, arriving Port Phillip Heads, Victoria, Australia 17 February 1854.
In 1868, Michael married Elizabeth Ann Seath. [2]
He operated the Standard Hotel.
Michael Brew passed away in 1886 aged 43-44 and is buried at Old Melbourne Cemetery (Defunct), Melbourne, Melbourne City, Victoria.

Probate of Michael's Will was granted in July 1886 to Elizabeth Ann (Seath) Brew, [3]
