Biography
Nicole and her husband Charles Moitié lived in the parish of Saint-Sulpice, Paris, France. They are named on their daughter Marie's marriage contract and marriage records in New France in 1672 and 1700, not indicated to have been deceased in 1672.[1]
Research Notes
Estimated birth year assumes Nicole was about 25 years old when her daughter Marie was born in 1649.
Nicole's last name is not distinct on the records of her daughter's marriage. It would appear to be a phonetic version of Chaise or Chesse. Though some interpretations include Alesse, the 'C' seems clear enough on the marriage contract and on her second marriage record the name is Chaise.
