Biography
Myrtle was born in 1930. She passed away in 2016.
- Mrs. Davis, 86, was born in Kershaw County and moved to Lee County in 1947. She was a 1949 graduate of Ashwood High School. She was a member of St. Andrew Church of God, where she served faithfully as Sunday School Secretary for many years and was active in the Missions Program of the church. She began working for G.W. Woodham Insurance Co. in 1949, the year of her marriage and worked there for 57 years until her retirement. She enjoyed working in her yard and cooking for her family. She is survived by her loving husband, James I. Davis of Bishopville, SC; sons, Jimmy (Jodi) Davis of Bishopville, SC, Ron (Lucy) Davis of Sumter, SC, Reed (Teresa) Davis of Bishopville, SC; daughter, Beverly (Smylie) Grantham of Bishopville, SC; brother, Ed Turner of Bishopville, SC; sisters, Ann (Joe) Kelly of Bishopville, SC, Jane Brown of Bishopville, SC; grandchildren, Hope (Paul) Barrett, Lauren Davis, Ron (Maria) Davis, Jr., Kelly Davis, Lawrence (Mercedes) West, Reed (Hayley) Davis, Jr., David (Tonya) Atkinson; great-grandchildren, Bryce Barrett, Caleigh Barrett, Kaitlyn Davis, Brett Davis, Savannah Jackson, Robbie (Rebecca) Jackson, Andy Jackson, Joey (Paige) Jackson, Chance Jackson, Nick Jackson, Grayson Jackson, Wyatt Jackson, Kole Jackson, Mason Jackson, Owen Atkinson, James Atkinson, Charlotte West and Rylynn West. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, Irby and Myrtle Turner; brothers, Irby Turner, Jr., George Thomas Turner; sister, Eleanor Seamon.
