Elvira Palmer was born 11 October 1812 in either Broome or Madison County, New York.
She married Jonathan H. Sholes and was the mother of three known children: George, Hiram and Harvey.
Elvira died in Earlville, New York on 20 December 1893. She is buried in the Earlville Cemetery.
Disputed Origins
Elvira (Palmer) Sholes is often mistaken for another woman with the same name - Elvira Palmer, daughter of James Palmer from Chittenden VT. However, that Elvira Palmer married Chester B. Ross and died in 1845.
