Biography
Harriet Amelia Griswold was born on 1 June 1834, in the state of New York, United States, the daughter of Aaron Griswold and Hannah Stearns.[1]
Her 1st husband was Roswell Pembrooke Humphrey, whom she married on 29 September 1857, in Walworth County, Wisconsin.[2] Their children included Mary, George and Hattie.
Roswell, aged 41, died on 1 February 1874 in Lyons, Walworth County, Wisconsin, and was buried there in Hudson Cemetery.[3]
Harriet married her 2nd husband, the recently widowed Ezra Miller, on 1 June 1891 in Walworth County, Wisconsin.[4] His 1st wife, Mary Jane Baker, died in 1890 in Spring Prairie, Walworth County, Wisconsin.[5] Ezra had two children, Alice and Cora, with his 1st wife, Mary Jane.
The marriage of Harriet and her 2nd husband not last long, as Harriet, aged 58, sadly died a year later on 26 July 1892 in Spring Prairie, Walworth County.[1] She was buried in Hudson Cemetery in nearby Lyons, Walworth County.[6]
Ezra died on 28 Apr 1907, aged 76, in Waukesha, Waukesha County, Wisconsin [7] and was also buried in Hudson Cemetery.[8]
