Biography
Jonas, the son of Isaac Melchior at Killinghammar, was born 18 july 1701.[1]
Jonas Isaacsson in entered in the record for the household of Isaac Maltziar in Bråten in 1718.[2] A record for his first marriage has not been found.
Isaac Maltziar (with various spellings) is in the taxation records for Gunnilbo from 1682, first in Killinghammar and then in Bråten. From 1717 Isaac is poor and ailing, exempt from taxes. The taxation record 1720 lists Jonas Isacsson as head of household for the first time. His mother is also taxable.[3] She dies in 1721 and in 1722 Jonas Isaacsson is alone (with two maids, who may be his sisters).[4] In 1724 Bråten is managed by Johan Böös in Naddbo.[5] This is still the case in 1731, when the manager is the widow of Johan Böös.[6]
In 1735, 1736 and 1737 Jonas Mallschier lives in Gunnilboby with a wife.[7][8][9] It seems that Jonas spent 1723 to 1734 elsewhere. There are death records for children of Jonas and his brother Isaac, when they lived in Fröberga, Malma 1733.[10]
Jonas Maltchiar's Anna was born in Gunnilbo 23 October 1734[11]
Jonas Maltziar's child in Gunnilbo 5 1/2 years old, was buried 20 April 1735.[12] This child was probably born elsewhere.
Jonas Maltziar's child Isaac was born 7 December 1737.[13] died when he was six weeks old, buried 25 January 1738.[14]
Jonas Maltziar's child Catharina was born 19 July 1739.[15]
The wife of Jonas Maltziar, 41 years old, died 10 June 1742.[16] Her name seems to have been Sara.[17]
Master builder Jonas Maltziar married Anna Andersdotter from Heden 14 October 1744.[18][19] They had a son, Anders 5 October 1745,
