Biography
Martha was born in 1716 (as calculated from the age on the gravestone). She is the daughter of Joshua Bramhall and Sarah Rider.
She married Jonathan Darling on 21 March 1749 in Plymouth.[1]
Together they had the following children:
- Lydia Darling, b. 1750
- Benjamin Darling, b. 1752
- Sarah Darling, b. 1754
- Mary Darling, b. 1756
- John Darling, b. 1758
In 1763, her father's will provided a place for her to live if she became destitute.[2]
Researcher Notes
- Age at birth does not line up with the birth source and the age on the gravestone which is 63 years old. Perhaps the birth source is a christening date.
