Upon graduating high school, Betty embraced her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse by attending Oklahoma A & M (OSU) until she became old enough to enter RN training at Tulsa’s St. John’s Hospital. She began her career serving others at Springer Clinic in Tulsa, and then as a private duty nurse in Ada, Oklahoma. Betty went on to become the Osage County School Nurse for much of 20 years while her husband, Harold Pool, was school superintendent in Osage County.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Harold Pool, her son, Robert Michael Pool, her brother, Raymond Dale Hardesty and her parents, Roy and Flossie Hardesty. Betty is survived by her daughter, Becky (Stan) Arnoldy, five grandchildren Sasha (Danny) Giles, Leslie (Brad) Wichert, Mika (Steven) Gibson, Aaron (Abigail) Arnoldy and Mark Arnoldy, six great grandchildren, Cameron Giles, Alexis Giles, Preston Giles, Austin Gibson, Ryder Gibson Dominic Arnoldy and daughter-in-law, Retha Pool.
Undoubtedly, Betty’s greatest joy in life was her Family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, her truly loving and caring nature always put others first.
Graveside services will be held October 16, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Osage Cemetery in Agra,

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Osage Cemetery Association P.O. Box 155,
Agra, OK 74824. Harold and Betty were ardent supporters of Osage Cemetery as Harold’s grandfather, Bob Pool, donated land when he lost a daughter in 1892.
In closing, a poem about cardinals since they were Betty’s favorite bird.
