Biography

Walter was born in 1928. He was the son of Walter Ray Jones and Alma "Cricket" Roberson. He was married to Nellie Marie Roberson in 1952. He passed away in 1982.

Research Notes

He is listed as "Junior Jones" in his half-sister's obituary.

He also had a half-brother named Walter David Jones who was about ten years younger. This brother is listed in the census of 1940 and 1950 with their father, but "Junior" is not. However, his 1946 draft card does state that his job was farming with his father in James, Texas.

His other sister was raised in foster care after their mother's death.
