Kenneth (Ken) Hayden Adams passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 6, 1948 to J. Wesley and Marie Adams.

Ken was a very proud and devoted grandfather of two. He shared his love of animals with his grandchildren and encouraged them to pursue their passions. Ken never forgot a birthday or holiday and would surprise his grandkids with care packages from Maine. His son and daughter-in-law will miss him dearly and wish that the distance between California and Maine was not so great that they could have spent more time with their father.

Ken was a Vietnam veteran and served in the US Air Force. Following his military service, he became an expert in automobile repair and restoration - his preference being Corvettes. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid lover of all animals, especially wildlife.

Ken enjoyed working with his nephew on his nephew's racecar at Oxford Plains Speedway. He also spent quality time with another nephew providing encouragement and nurturing that is a part of nephew's success as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps.

Ken is survived by his father J. Wesley Adams of Auburn; son and his wife; grandchildren; sister; sister and her husband; sister-in-law; nephew, his wife and their sons; niece; nephew [Corporal]; longtime beloved companion, and many friends. Ken is pre-deceased by his mother Marie Adams and brother Don Adams.
