Biography
Sarah Marguerite Prégeant was born on 17 Feb 1862 in L'Ardoise, Richmond, Nova Scotia to Ephrem Prégeant and Alexandrina (LaBelle) Pregeant[1].
In 1871, Sarah Margret (10) was living in L'Ardoise with her father Ephraim Prégeant (43), her mother Alexandrine (44) and her siblings Wallace (16), Ephraim (6), Joseph (3) and James (8 months).[2][3] Nearby on the same census page are Lewis Pregeant (42) with family, and Eziah Pregeant (40) with family; likely brothers.
In 1881, Sarah (20) was living in L'Ardoise with her father Ephraim Prégeant (49), her mother Alexandrine (55) and her siblings Ephraim (17), Joseph (14), and James (12).[4]
Sarah married George Sançon (Sampson), son of Philistine and Jane, on 25 Jan 1886 at L'Ardoise.[5][6]
In 1911, Sarah (48) lived in L'Ardoise with her husband George (56) and 8 of their sons James (23), Alonzo (20), Alphie (19), Barnaby (16), Walter (16), Martin (15), Earnest (13), and Napoleon (6).[7]
Sarah passed away on 24 Apr 1944 in L'Ardoise.[8]
