Private Isaac Shughart (aka Schuyhart) served at the Battle of Shiloh and died on 27 May 1862 as a result of disease. He was initially buried in Shiloh Battlefield or a hospital cemetery and later reinterred at Shiloh National Cemetery, plot 1602, section 78th Ohio.^[2][3]
