Biography

Mildred Ophelia Lamb, born on February 23, 1850, in Tipton County, Tennessee, was the daughter of Enos Lamb and Frances (Parish) Lamb. Her early years were spent in District 4, Tipton County, Tennessee, as per the 1850 census records. However, by 1860, the Lamb family had moved to Glaize Township, Jackson County, Arkansas, near the Grand Glaize post office.

The 1870 census shows Mildred residing in Jacksonport Township, Jackson County, Arkansas, in proximity to the Jacksonport post office. She continued to live in Glaize Township, Jackson County, Arkansas, as indicated in the 1880 census records. In the year 1900, Mildred was found in Christian Township, Independence County, Arkansas, and by 1910, she had made her home in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas.

Tragically, Mildred Ophelia Lamb passed away on July 6, 1916, in Independence County, Arkansas. She was laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, marking the end of a life lived across several states and locations, leaving behind a record of her journey through the pages of census records and the memories of those who knew her.
