Jan van Nassau was a bastard son of Baron Jan van Nassau and Aleid van Loemel. Jan was stewart (Kastelein) of Heusden. He purchased (Beleend) on April 29, 1485 the castle and property (heerlijkheid) Corroy and Frasne from his brother Engelbert II. In 1492 these properties went back to his brother.
Jan passed away on November 29, 1506. He married in loon op Zand on Novemver 4, 1470 Adriana van Haestrecht. She was the daughter of Paulus lord of Loon op Zand, Tilburg, Goirle and Drunen and Catharina van Naaldwijk.
