There is a discrepancy regarding her burial. According to Find a Grave ID 137318887 she is buried in Mount Moriah Lutheran Cemetery in Baughman Settlement, Hardy County, WV, under the name of Sophia Day HEISHMAN and it is noted that John Nicholas Baughman was her spouse, (he is buried here, with his first wife, Catherine Heishman),however there is no photo of a grave stone, nor any information regarding her birth or death. She is listed as Sophia Day, age 10, in the household of Philip Heishman (Hishman) in the 1860 Census, District 1, Hardy, Virginia. Find a Grave ID 20954944 has a Sophia Baughman buried in Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, located in Jerome, Shenandoah County, Virginia. There is a photo of the grave stone with birth and death information which appears to coincide with the information in the 1900 Census, with a date of birth of 1850, and she is listed as the widowed sister in law to the Head of the household, William H Baughman. She does not appear in the 1910 census. She was John Baughman’s second wife.
