Kjeston Marie Moore Byrd, 71, of Brush Grove Road, in Willisburg, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Jefferson County to Andy and Dorothy Martin Cooksey Moore. She was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Byrd; three daughters, Norma Chesser and her husband, Ricky, of Bloomfield, Regina Hood and her husband, Damon, of Willisburg, and Theresa Proctor and her husband, Mark, of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, Derrick Chesser, Payton Chesser, Savannah Proctor, Mallory Proctor, Rachel Proctor, Levi Hood, Lance Hood and Dalyee Hood; a brother, Norvel Moore and his wife, Pauline, of Louisville, and three half-sisters, Darlene Rhodes and her husband, Charlie, of Louisville, Marlene Dowell and her husband, Phillip, of Mayfield and Charlene Barnes and her husband, Mike, of Shelbyville. The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Willisburg Church of God Of Prophecy with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg. The Rev. Steve Puckett, the church pastor, will officiate. Pallbearers were Purdom Lewis, Charles Curtsinger, Darrell Monroe, Ronnie hood, Darrell Dean and Ronnie Bobblett. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
