Biography

John was born 6/18/1833 in New York. His father was Robert Leonard and his mother was Susanna Sherman. In 1850 John was living with his parents and siblings in Tioga, New York where his father was a farmer. John married Mary Jane Butler some time before 1860. John and Mary lived with their children in New York where John was a farmer. By 1880 the family was living in Glendale, Saline, Kansas. John died 8/14/1911 in California and is buried with Mary in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Moke Unknown).
