Buddy married Frances Byrd Adams in Texas in 1923.[2]
Buddy Roy Buchanan died January 22, 1972 in Colorado City, Mitchell, Texas, aged 86.

Buddy Roy was a really nice person, I met him when I was 10. He broke his hip at 86, while out checking on some land he owned, managed to get back in his truck and drive 100 miles to the hospital but sadly died a few days later.
