Biography

Joseph was the son of Joshua of Cragg Vale, Yorkshire was born in Yorkshire^[1]

He attended school in Giggleswick ^[1].

Joseph (aged 18) was admitted to Caius College, Cambridge on April 20th 1833. He matriculated in the Michaelmas Term of 1934, and was awarded his B.A. in 1838 ^[1].

Joseph was ordained deacon and priest in Salisbury 1839 ^[1].

Joseph was the rector of of Langton Matravers, Dorset , 1839-43. ^[1].

Joseph was the rector of Ackworth, Yorkshire , 1844-75. ^[1].

Joseph married Harriet Elizabeth Leatham on 27 January 1849 in St Michael's church, Carleton in the parish of Pontefract England. Rev George Richardson officiated ^[2] Harriet Elizabeth Leatham was the daughter and heiress of Capt. William H. C. Leatham, and Lucy Lund (co-heiress of the Baronies of Cobham, Strabolgi and Burgh), of Kirkham Abbey, Yorkshire ^[1].

In the 1851 census Joseph (age 36), Rector Of Ackworth, was the married head of household in Ackworth, Yorkshire, Yorkshire (West Riding), England.

In the 1861 census Joseph (age 46), Vicar of Ashworth, was the married head of household in Ackworth, Yorkshire, England.

Joseph died July 2, 1875, at Ackworth rectory.^[1].

Reverend Joseph Kenworthy was the son of Joshua Kenworthy.1 He married Harriet Elizabeth Leatham, daughter of Captain William Henry Cockerell Leatham and Lucy Lund, on 24 January 1849.1 He died on 2 July 1875.1 ^[5].
