Biography

Margaret was born in Canada, 1833. Apparently, she married James H Sutcliffe about 1869. The 1900 US Census indicates that she was the mother of four children, but sadly, none were living at the time of the census. Mrs. Sutcliffe passed away in 1910. Her passing was mentioned at the 1910 convention of the National Association of Army Nurses as one of ten member Civil War nurses that died in the previous year.

Research Notes

A marriage record for James and Jennie has not yet been found. The 1867 marriage date comes from the 1900 US Census which indicates a marriage of 33 years.
