Biography

Margaret was born on September 1863 in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland to James O'Shaunnessey and Maru O'Grady. She was one of three girls (at least); her siblings were Marey and Bridget.^[1][2]

She married Alman Douglas Henderson on 24 December 1883 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA.^[3] Alman was te son of . Together they bore five children: William Ralph, Claude Alma, Arthur Grover, John and Alubians Douglas.^[1][4] Arthur and John died soon after their births, along with Claude at age 12.

Mary and Alman separated soon after Alubians' birth. In separate 1910 censuses they regarded themselves as married, but were apparently living apart, Alman with his generous sister and brother-in-law Bernard O'Reilly, and Margaret with her sisters Mary Doyle and Bridget Waltman, along with Alubians.^[2][4]

Margaret died in 1940 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.
