She married Samuel Taylor,a widower, on 27th November 1837 [2]at the parish church of St Peter, Derby. She was a spinster. Her father is named as Joseph Brion (sic)'. They had three children.

Samuel may have died before the 1851 census[3], although no death has been found. In 1851 she was living as the wife of William Brooks (no marriage record found), with her daughter Elizabeth.

By the 1871 census[4] William had died and she was living with her son in law, the husband of her daughter Elizabeth, in his household
