Ida N. Brown was born on 9 November 1873 in North Carolina.
Ida married Michael George Leonard (1868-1945) on 16 May 1891 in Hamilton County, Tennessee.[1] On the 1900 census, it notes that she had given birth to seven children, while six were currently living. Her children included:
In June 1900, Ida, Mike, and their six children, Lonnie, Gertie, Mary, George, Samuel, and Frederick, were residing in a house they rented in the Second District of Knox County, Tennessee. Mike was employed as a paper hanger. Her brother James, his wife, and their two young daughters were also residing with the family. James was working as a brick mason.[2]
In January 1920, Ida, Mike, their eight children, Gertrude, George, Samuel, Oma Lee, Mike, Albert, Telma, and Montague, and Gertrude's daughter Nora Lee Miller, were residing in a rented house on 45th Street in Alton Park, Hamilton County, Tennessee. Mike was working as a farmer at their house, while George was a laborer at the glass works and Samuel was a baker in a bakery.[3]
Ida passed away in 1928.
