Sarah (Downs) Ferris was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Sarah was born in 1854 in Danbury, Connecticut.^[1] She was the daughter of George Downs and Grace Crofut. In the 1870 census Sarah E Downs (age 16) was in Danbury, Fairfield, Connecticut, United States.^[2]  The household consisted of: George Downs 42, Flora Downs 40, George R Downs 18, Sarah E Downs 16, Frederick Downs 14, Flora G Downs 12, Minnie Downs 10, John Downs 4.

In the 1900 census Sarah E Ferris (age 46) was the wife of Willard L Ferris in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Connecticut, United States.^[3]  The household consisted of: Willard L Ferris 46, wife Sarah E Ferris 46, son Isaac L Ferris 22.
