Biography

William represented Great Britain in Gymnastics in the Olympic Games of 1908, 1912 and 1920

William was born in 1887. He was the son of David Cowhig and Alice Clancey. William's birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1886 in the Bridgend district.[1]

In the 1891 census William (age 5), Scholar, was the son of David Cowhig in Llantrisant, Glamorgan, Wales.[2]

In the 1901 census William (age 14), Coal Miner Hewer, was the son of David Cowhig in Abertillery, Monmouthshire, Wales.[3]

In the 1911 census William (age 24), Miner Hewer, was the single son of David Cowhig in England.[4]

William's death (age 78) was registered in 1964 in Warwickshire, England.[5]
