BLUFFTON, SC -- Leon Francis Litchfield, resident of Bluffton, SC, former resident of Dracut, MA, died November 16, 2013 in Beaufort, SC, following a brief illness.

He was born in Lowell on February 6, 1940 and was the son of the late Eugene D. Litchfield and Dorothy (Kennedy) Litchfield. While in Dracut, he was a member of Christ Church United.

He is survived by his three sisters, Barbara Hubert and her husband, Leo of New Orleans, LA, Brenda Benson and her husband, Donald of Chelmsford, MA, Bette McDermott of Bluffton, SC, and brother-in-law of the late Edward McDermott, Jr.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.

LITCHFIELD -- A private interment was held at the Hildreth Cemetery in Lowell, MA.
