Margaret Quin Cronyn was born in 1859 in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. She was a daughter of John (or John D.) Cronyn and Sarah Quin Cronyn.
By at least some time in 1891, the Cronyn family was living at Friar's Hill in Thomastown, because Margaret lists this as her place of residence when ...
She married John Francis Cooper Meyler on November 18, 1891, at St. Peter's Church, Dublin, Ireland; their marriage was registered at Dublin South in the October quarter of that year.
Margaret and Francis were to have two children:
At the time of the Irish census in 1901, Margaret and her family were living at Lower Drumcondra Road, Drumcondra, Co. Dublin, Ireland. A decade later, at the time of the 1911 census, they were living at Upper Leeson Street, Rathmines, Co. Dublin.
In 1933, Margaret had to be admitted to St. Ita's Hospital at Portrane (a mental hospital). She had been mentally challenged for years and a constant strain on her family.
Margaret Meyler seems to have been brought home to die and she passed away at 18 Cambridge Street, Rathmines, Dublin, on February 17, 1934. Her death registration states that she died of "Melancholia, chronic dyspepsia, malnutrition and anemia". Her death was registered at Rathmines on February 21, 1934.
Her husband Dr. John Meyler would die just 4 months later.
