Biography

Frank R Mraz, son of Frank M Mraz and Matilda C Sdyak, was born 25 Feb 1925, in New York City, New York, United States. He applied for a Social Security number August 1945, and died 13 Jun 2003, in Nashville, Tennessee.^[1]

Frank served in the 28th "Black Lions" Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division in Europe and Fought in the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest in WWII. He received a Purple Heart, the Combat Infantry Badge and two Presidential Unit citations. He was a professor at U.T Knoxville.
