William Beck Died of Disease during The United States Civil War.
Pvt. William Beck was 18 years old when he enlisted in the Union Army on 1 August 1862. At that time he was living in Springport, Michigan. William was mustered into Company E, 20th Regiment, Michigan Infantry.[1]
He died from disease in Vicksburg, Mississippi on 7 July 1863. Pvt. Beck is buried in Section O, 3488 of the Vicksburg National Cemetery.
