George was born in 1804, the son of Ezra Gould (1764-1855) and Rebecca Nock (1762-1822).
He married Eliza H Davis, widow of Charles Haskell after Charles' 1834 death. They were the parents of four children, all born at Milo, Maine:
The 1850 US census for Milo, Piscataquis County, Maine lists residents of a household as head of household George Gould (44), a farmer, Eliza Gould (37), Chas. H Gould (6), attends school, Sarah A Gould (4), attends school, Hiram Gould (1), Frances Haskell (17), attends school, Eliza J Haskell (15), attends school, and Abagail [sic] Davis (74). All were born in Maine. George owns real estate valued at $300. NOTE: Frances and Eliza Haskell are the stepdaughters of George. Abagail Davis is his mother-in-law.
George passed away in 1853 and is buried at the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, Maine.
