Clyde Lewis Boardman was born 1 May 1897 in North Aurora, Kane, Illinois, United States.^[1]His parents were Lewis J. Boardman and Vadah Goding.

In the 1900 census, Clyde Boardman, age 3, is in the household of Lewis and Vadah Boardman, with siblings Vadah, 10, Leota, 6, and Viola, 5, in Aurora Township, Kane, Illinois, United States.

In 1910^[2] Clyde Boardman, 12, with parents Lewis J and Vadah Boardman, with sisters Vadah, 20, Leota, 16, Viola, 14, and Marie, 10, were in Aurora, Kane, Illinois, United States.

On 1 Nov 1924 Clyde L Boardman, son of Lewis J [Boardman] and Vadah Godding, and Genevieve Challis, daughter of Vernon [Challis] and Jennie Rudhman, were marred in Queens, New York City, New York, United States.^[3]

In 1930^[4] his household included his wife, Genevieve Boardman, a son, and a brother-in-law, William C Challis.

His wife, Mrs. Genevieve Boardman, died on 2 Aug 1937 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States.^[5]

The 1940 census^[6] shows Clyde Boadman, 43, living in Queens, New York City, New York, United States. He is shown as widowed, with a 14-year-old son. Also in the household is Ethel Vincett, 45, shown as his sister-in-law, and a 15-year old bay, identified as a nephew.

He died 20 Jul 1962 in Santa Clara, California, United States.^[7][8]

The grave marker shown on his FindAGrave memorial^[9] gives his names as Clyde Lewis Boardman, born 1 May 1895, died 20 Jul 1962. His grave marker indicated he served in both WWI and WWIi.

He served in the New York National Guard. There is a 15 Sep 1931 record showing him in Co F 106th Inf ^[10] and a 28 February 1945 record showing him in the Co B 4th Regt ^[11].
