Biography

Emile X. Olivier aka Oliver was born at Groveton, NH on Nov. 10, 1894. ^[1] He is a son of Modeste Olivier and Marcelline Laberge. While the child in the birth record is unnamed, the name is obtained from census records and his Find a Grave memorial.

1900 US Census New Hampshire Coos Berlin ED 258 Sheet 11A Lines 6-14: Emile Olivier, 6 with his parents and six siblings. ^[2] Census Date: June 6, 1900.

1910 US Census New Hampshire Coos Berlin Ward 2 ED 57 Sheet 19B Lines 85-95: Emille Oliver, 15 salesman, grocery store with his parents and eight siblings. ^[3] Census Date: April 25, 1910.

Emile X. Olivier married Elizabeth Veronica Labossiere at Berlin, NH on June 14, 1915. ^{[4] [5]} She is the first child of eight and the first of three daughters of Napoleon Labossiere and Angeline Ferrari. Emile Olivier and Elizabeth Labossiere had four children, two daughters and two sons.

In 1917, Emile Olivier registered for the military draft for World War I. ^[6]

1920 US Census New Hampshire Coos Berlin Ward 4 ED 43 Sheet 3A Lines 27-30: Emile Oliver, 25 paper mill clerk; Elisa Oliver (Labossiere), 25; two Oliver sons: Laurier, 2 1/2; Robert, 3 months. ^[7]Census Dates: Jan. 9-10, 1920. Elizabeth's grand parents are living near by.

1930 US Census New Hampshire Coos Ward 4, Berlin, ED 12 Sheet 9A Lines 9-15: Emile Olivier, 35 - surveyor, lumber yard; Eliza, (nee Labossiere), 34; four Olivier children: Lannier, 13; Robert, 10; Jeanette, 8; Doris, 5; Grand Father-in-law, Alexandre Labossiere, 76, widower. ^[8] Alexandre is listed as the grand father in law of Eliza's husband which is correct as he is Eliza Labossiere's grand father. Census Date: April 5, 1930.

Elizabeth Labossiere - Olivier passed away at Berlin, NH on Jan. 22, 1965 and she was buried there in Sainte Anne Cemetery. She was 69.

Emile Olivier passed away at Berlin, NH on March 10, 1979 ^[14] and he was buried there in Sainte Anne Cemetery with his wife. ^[15] He was survived by two sons and his daughter, Amanda who had become a nun. He was 84.
