SAN FRANCISCO, March 23. Efforts at reconciliation having failed. Earl Douglass, broker, today has on file a suit for divorce against his wife, the former Miss Noel McGettigan.

Filing of Ihe suit followed an admitted separation of the prominent society pair a week ago.

Douglass charges cruelly and asks for custody of their two children, Earl Jr., 6, and Dunn Douglass, 3. There is no community property, according to the complaint.

The marriage of the couple in October, 1924, was a society event. The ceremony took place in St. Vincent de Paul's Church with Archbishop Edward J. Hanna officiating.

Douglass is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon S. Douglass of Menlo Park. Mrs. Douglass is Ihe daughter of the late Dr. Charles D. and Mrs. McGettigan.

In his suit, Douglass charges that his wife no longer loves him and that she had frequently told him that she was no longer interested in him.

California Couple Weds

Mrs. Noel McGettigan Douglas, daughter of a prominent San Francisco family, arrived in Reno and was married to Schwerin, west coast representative for Mum champagne and president of the California Wood Scouring corporation, Saturday night.

Mr. Schwcrin is the son of R. P. Schwerin, president of the Pacific Mail Steamship company.

Judge Ben Curler, famed Reno divorce judge, performed the ceremony. They will honeymoon in Los Angeles.

Mrs. Dana Fuller and George Pope, Jr., of Burlingame, will witnesses to the ceremony. A party of eleven motored here for the wedding..
