Sarah Thwaites was born in Ireland.

Sarah Anne Thwaites was born on about 24 July 1839. She was the daughter of Dr. John Thwaites and Marianne Andrews. Notice of her birth was printed on page 8 of the Dublin Weekly Register dated 13 July 1839:

BIRTHS.

At Ratheney House, King's County, the lady of John Thwaites, Esq., M.D., of a daughter.^[1]

In the 1901 Ireland Census, Sara Ann Thwaites (aged 60 and single) was recorded as a Visitor in the household of her cousin Mary Kate Benson (58, single and an Artist) at house 7 in Burrow, Howth, Dublin. Also in the household were two servants^[2].

In the 1911 Ireland Census, Sara Ann Thwaites (aged 69 and single) was recorded in the household of her married sister Kate Barclay (66) at 32 Wellington Road, Pembroke West, Dublin. Also in the household were her two nieces Mary Barclay (36) and Millicent Barclay (34), along with one servant^[3].

Sarah Anne Thwaites was residing at 23 Waterloo Place, County Dublin when she passed away on 23 November 1916, having never married, and was buried at Mount Jerome Cemetery and Crematorium, Harold's Cross, County Dublin, Ireland^[4][5]. PLOT: 2601
