Biography
Diana was born in 1924. Her parents were Dobald Fenney Schram and Agnes L. Bender. The 1930 US Census shows her to be five yearas old livingwith her parents in Detroit. [1]
She married Reed Near in 1944. The 1950 US Census shows her married to Reed Near, living in Oak Lawn, Cook Illinois. [2]
She passed away in 2013. [3]
She was buried at Southern Nevada Veterens Memorial Cemetery. [4]
Obituary
Diana Schram Near, 89, passed away in Las Vegas, Dec. 28, 2013. Born Aug. 15, 1924 in Eau Claire, Wis., to Donald F. Schram and Agnes Bender Schram, Diana grew up in Detroit and attended Michigan State University. She was married to Reed A. Near from Dec. 27, 1944 until his death Nov. 30, 2009. They had three daughters. Diana was preceded in death by her brothers, David Donald Schram of Detroit and Brian Lewis Schram of Battle Creek, Mich. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Schreck (Wm) of Brea, Calif., Donna Remorini of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Lisa Gollihar (Charles) of Grapevine, Texas; and eight grandchildren. She loved to sew and quilt, and her favorite job was motherhood. Diana's hope was in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Services are pending. Donations may be made to Solari Hospice, Las Vegas. Published by Las Vegas Review-Journal on Jan. 5, 2014.
