Biography
Pat Anderson's Rootsweb site identifies Parson as the first child of Charles and Elizabeth Anderson. That site states that Parson was killed in action during the Revolutionary War but provides no detail as to date or place. From that site:
"Notes for Parson Anderson: Charles Anderson 07/05/1751 Amelia Co, 400a south side of the south fork of Buffalo River, Virginia Patent Book 30/Page 441, Cumberland County, p. 155 1758. Parson Anderson m Mary Cocke; See Thomas Cocke and Charles Anderson’s letter of consent to son Parson’s marriage, Prince Edward County, Book 1-162 1759 . Charles Anderson of Prince Edward to Parsons Anderson of same 504 acres on south side fork of Buffalo River.
Children of Parson Anderson and Mary Cocke are James Anderson, born Abt. 1760.
Notes for James Anderson:
On 18 October 1784 the Prince Edward Court ordered that James Anderson, son of Parsons Anderson, be bound to George Redd, Prince Edward Order Book 1781-1785, p. 290. "Parsons Anderson", the Court had noted in August 1784 [Ibid, 261] "Departed this life while a soldier in Continental Service." Mary Anderson, born Abt. 1762. She married Dudley Ransone February 12, 1801 in Prince Edward County, Virginia.
