Biography

On June 27, 1888, Joseph (Joe) Francis STEVENS, son of Joannes Wilhelm (William) STEVENS and Mary CURVES was born in Long Prairie, Todd County, Minnesota, United States.[1][2][3][4]

On January 10, 1912, Joseph and Ethyl Myrtle D CHAMBERS were married in Morrison County, Minnesota.[5][6]

On January 1, 1920, Joe, his wife, Ethel and their children, William, Gordon, Jean and Carol were residing in Park County, Montana. Joe was a farmer.[2]

CENSUS 1920

On December 19, 1940, Joe, age 50 years, divorced, and Ethel Mary Margaret CURNUTTE CROSBY, age 48 years, divorced, were married in Bozeman. The witnesses were Earl PIERCE and his wife.[3]

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE

On December 12, 1965, Joseph, age 77 years, died in hospital in Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana. The cause of his death was cardiac failure due to severe emphysema. The informant of his death was his wife, Margaret. His residence was at 117 South Bozeman. Joe had been employed as a restaurant cook.[4]

DEATH CERTIFICATE

On December 16, 1965, Joseph was buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bozeman.[4]
