Delvin David Fremantle was born in 1842, the son of John and Agnes (Lyon) Fremantle.
Delvin was raised in England and would marry Emma Isaacs, the daughter of Robert McIntosh Isaacs and Barberina Rogers Harrison in 1868. They would have two daughters:
Albinia Grace Fremantle (1869-1956)
Lelia Hope Fremantle (1871-1930)
Delvin Fremantle served in the Royal Navy and attained the rank of Lieutenant at the time of his death. He would die young in 1873 at the age of 31 years.
