Biography
Margaret Jane Couch, known as Janie, was the daughter of Mr S Couch of Worcester, Cape Colony, South Africa. He died in South Africa.
Janie married in 1909 to John Edwin Thomas Burnett of Waimea. Two daughters were born in their marriage.
They settled at Thorpe in the Motueka area where John worked as a Carpenter.
Janie died in 1970 age 85 and is buried at Wakapuaka Cemetery, Nelson.
